The Hunter East Shore Studio is a community-based planning response to the catastrophe brought on by Hurricane Sandy on Staten Island's East Shore. Working together with the residents of the area this plan responds to their concerns and addresses the reasons for inequities, and offers a blueprint for achieving a sustainable long-term vision. It is a daring plan based on extensive fieldwork, surveys, planning workshops and interviews. This plan concludes with a progressive vision that aims to fulfill the potential for the East Shore as a vibrant, economically secure community in the future.
