An existing one family residence, constructed in the 1950s, is the subject of this addition and renovation project. The home is situated on a hillside overlooking low-lying neighborhoods, Lower New York Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Virtually every space within the home was designed to access the extraordinary views and spaces were designed to allow the freedom and simplicity of a family's activities. The project won the AIA Staten Island 2003 Design Awards.
